Classless or not it sure took all the drama out of that last on-side kick by the Steelers. I could see if it was 35-3 maybe, but up 14 points and no gain turns the ball over to Pittsburg the call was perfect.

It was 3rd and 9 and a first down with a run off tackle was not likely.

A FG attempt would have been classless maybe but not a running play even if it was a reverse. The Steelers had the two minute warning also.

I don't see a problem with it. Belichek has always been very classy IMO.

Classless only if this were a Pop Warner game. The end around gave them the best chance to gain the first down and keep the clock moving with Pitt clueing in on the run straight ahead. He just happened to spring it all the way.

Bill Belichick just congratulated and praised Bill Cowher and his Pittsburg Steelers for having an outstanding season on ESPN News before he mentioned a word about any of his Patriots. He says he was only trying to get a first down on the reverse, the play just happened to score.

I have been entertained by some of your posts over the time I have been around theRX, Noreaga, but I really think you're stretching it with this.

Classless my assless, that's Belichick going to yet another SUPER BOWL and Cowher having lost every big game he's ever coached. I'm not a NE fan or Pit hater just got give props where they're due. I'll take coaching like that anytime on my team.

If you're the running back there, you obviously can't think quick enough to go down without scoring. But him scoring kept Pitt in the game. There's a one in a million chance that they score and get two onside kicks. If he goes down, they down it 3 times and go home. So obviously they weren't trying to score there.
